Schedule Details: Fixed (2 options currently available: MThF e/o/w or MTW e/o/w), Weekends & Holidays required
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a Registered Nurse in New York State with a minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing. At least one (1) year prior experience desired with a focus in Substance Use Disorders preferred. Must possess current CPR/First Aid certification. Phlebotomy certificate desired. Familiarity with crisis interventions, working with special populations, medication assisted treatment, and trauma-informed care are essential. Knowledge and/or experience in a residential healthcare setting desired. On-call assistance and weekend availability required to meet the emergent needs of the resident population. Phlebotomy certified desired. Reliable transportation required; valid NYS driver's license preferred.
The Registered Nurse is part of an inter-disciplinary team and provides direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards under the general direction of the supervising physician. This role is responsible for completing nursing assessments, developing care plans, and implementing necessary nursing interventions in accordance with organization policy. Successful candidates will have a good understanding of principles and practices of community mental health nursing, problems and concerns as they relate to substance use, and application of current nursing procedures and techniques.
