Description
- Provide a world class customer service experience when installing and/or servicing equipment in a customer’s home.
- Properly diagnose and troubleshoot alarm system issues such as: Re-wiring and re-programing panels and sensors and adjusting the sensitivity of sensors based on room structures and manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Ensure on-time arrival to customer appointments.
- Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property or loss of materials and equipment.
- Explain and provide detailed Alder system capabilities and operational instructions to customers.
- Promote and sell additional equipment and services to customers based on individual customer needs.
- Clean installation debris after service and installation visits.
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork including work orders and customer contracts.
- Communicate with the Alder corporate team on ticket closures and/or schedules.
- Maintain and manage adequate inventory levels of product and equipment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- As needed, overtime will be required to assist on priority service tickets. This can include evening and/or weekend hours.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must remain smoke-free while on site with a customer and while operating Alder fleet vehicles.
- Must have basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working with minimal supervision.
- Remain up to date with industry licensing and testing requirements for technicians.
- Experience as a construction worker, technician, electrician, or other technical work may be helpful.
- High School diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in all kinds of weather at various locations within a given district or territory.
- Sitting and/or standing for extending periods of time as well as walking and transporting supplies in and out of a vehicle and various locations.
- Service coverage areas occasionally of 150 miles a day.
- There will be times when staying at a hotel 2-3 times a month is required to complete out-of-area service tickets.
- Must be able to safely maneuver through shallow attics and crawl underneath homes.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and climb.
- Must be able to carry, secure and store necessary material, tools and utility ladders.
- Work performed at customer’s home can often be in a hot or cold attic.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
Full-time Position and Company Perks:
- Compensation: per call serviced payment
