Qualifications of the Marine Dock Attendant

• Required | Must be 18 years of age or older
• Required | Prior experience with docks, marina, and/or water sports
• Required | Open schedule availability

Your day-to-day as a Marine Dock Attendant

Ambassador of the Hood Canal Marina and Alderbrook Resort & Spa Waterfront Center, the Marine Dock Attendant is often the first person with whom a customer will interact. As a Marine Dock Attendant, you will have the opportunity to work outside among scenic views of the Hood Canal and Olympic mountains, ensuring each guest is warmly welcomed for their Pacific Northwest getaway. In this position, you will:

• Welcome guests and handle vessel moorings with care at our Waterfront Center.
• Ensure the marina and canal remain safe and pristine.
• Fuel vessels and manage billing and customer records.
• Oversee reservations for moorages and rent out recreational gear, providing instructions and safety tips.
• Assess weather conditions to guarantee guest safety on the water.

• Physical Demands. This role demands the ability to communicate clearly, stand for extended periods, navigate stairs, and manage objects with ease. You'll need to comfortably lift up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally handle up to 75 pounds. Sharp vision for close-up tasks and the capacity for sustained focus are essential. Working on floating docks necessitates swimming ability and coping with motion.
• Work Environment. Situated in an outdoor marina and dock setting, this position exposes you to a range of weather conditions and temperatures. The work on floating and uneven surfaces requires a strong sense of balance and safety awareness.
