About the Position

Aldrich CPAs and Advisors is looking for a dynamic Tax Manager to be part of growing our Agriculture niche in the San Diego area. Along with building and growing the Agriculture niche, this position will provide tax complex tax review, planning and compliance services and act as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Tax Managers will provide client service, relationship management and consulting services. This role will serve as the tax expert and coordinate all aspects of the tax relationship. You'll Get a Chance To

• Coordinate and plan service delivery to clients, including conducting review meetings
• Participate in the creation and development of processes and infrastructure designed to service clients
• Work directly with clients on follow-up items from meeting or initiate follow through on new initiatives with clients
• Analyze client financial information, assess needs, and determine advanced strategies necessary to meet clients' objectives
• Manage all aspects of the client relationship 
• Manage and further leverage established network with current referral professionals
• Lead new client prospecting, design presentations and lead closing meetings
• Perform technical tax reviews, approval tax returns, and governmental tax examinations of any complexity
• Develop and mentor staff and seniors through training and effective performance feedback - ensuring responsibilities are consistent with skills and development goals
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections and project budgets

What You Bring to the Team

• 6 years recent experience in public accounting with a primary focus on tax
• Ability to supervise others
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field from an accredited college/university
• Successful completion of the CPA exam, licensed CPA, JD, EA or LTP
• Willingness to take "ownership" of the client
• Ability to build and retain client relationships

It is in the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position.  At Aldrich, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensations decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each candidate. The compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location and other job-related reasons.  Aldrich makes internal equity a consideration in all pay decisions. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,000 - $130,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational goals.
