The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to come and help shape our compensation function and services, while helping to deliver on critical enterprise-wide projects and change initiatives. This is a contract position with the future potential as a regular, full time position. We are looking for a seasoned individual to join our team that can quickly learn the business and support the effective rollout and implementation of a new global grading structure, while providing ongoing consultative support and project leadership in the compensation space This is a role that balances both hands on and strategic work, requiring expert data and analytical skills with the ability to work as a consultative partner to the business on a variety of compensation related matters and help build and scale our compensation practices and function.
What You’ll Do
- Help to establish best in class compensation processes and procedures to drive operational excellence and standardization/sustainment of the function.
- Partner with internal key stake holders on the rollout and implementation of new global grading structures through analytics support, preparation of data, preparing supporting communications and providing consultative support to our over 130 locations across the United States; make recommendations on best practices and considerations.
- Act as a resource to recruitment team in the development of new positions to include full assessment process from job description through position assessment and grading. Support with the writing and review of job descriptions as needed.
- Act as a key collaborator and project manager on key company wide compensation related and compliance projects.
- Partner with technology team to design and implement compensation process and governance structures within our HR systems.
- Assess tools and infrastructure needed to manage compensation functions (Payfactors, Workday, etc., home grown spreadsheets).
- Look at ways to optimize current compensation platforms to ensure they are being utilized to their fullest potential based on our business needs.
- Lead support for annual compensation reviews, including annual performance review cycles.
- Provide benchmarking data and trends to help inform compensation strategy.
- Develop communication materials needed to support process and change initiatives to help drive understanding and sustainment.
- Provide 1-1 consulting with business leaders to address compensation needs and issues; proactive outreach.
- Partner with Finance on budget preparation.
- Provide both ad hoc market reviews for individuals or locations and advanced global analysis.
- Support the design, implementation and sustainment of various incentive designs/plans, including sales compensation.
What You’ll Bring
- 7 years’ experience establishing, growing and managing a compensation function in a large organization, multi-site preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, regulations and evolving compliance landscape.
- Experience implementing compensation change initiatives and projects to ensure adoption and sustainment.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to travel as required to support assigned projects/initiatives.
- Proactive mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and through leading outcomes for cross functional teams.
Salary : $122,000 - $155,000
