Senior Mechanical Engineer

ACARA Solutions and our client in Middletown, RI. have a HYBRID contract to direct hire position available

• 8 years of experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
• 8 years of experience writing technical papers and proposals.

• As a mechanical engineer for the Tactical Hardware business area, you'll be a cross-functional team member responsible for designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.
• Design electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature).

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum of 8 years experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
• Minimum of 8 years experience writing technical papers and proposals.

• Master's Degree.
• Proficiency in utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.
• Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods and technical, government, and industry standards.
• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills.
