What we are looking for
Aleto Inc. is seeking to hire a Project Assistant at one of its Government Client’s sites in Washington DC. Currently, the position is remote, and return-to-work is likely. Therefore, the Project Assistant will need to be able to work in downtown Washington D.C in the future.

- Retirement Plan:
Aleto offers full time employees a 401(k) qualified retirement plan. Employees who have worked at least three months will be eligible to enroll in the plan on the 15th day of the month of the quarter following their hire anniversary date. The company will match 100% on the first 3% of your employee contribution, then match 50% of the next two-percent match of your contribution to the plan for a total of a four-percent employer contribution.

Project Assistance Essential Job Duties
Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process all invoices, IAAs and travel claims for the Board. Balance the annual spend plan against actual expenses. Work with partners to ensure fiscal accountability is maintained for the Board.
- Assist with processing all administrative needs of the Board members, such as completing ethics forms, and renewing IT agreements for Board members.
- Establish a NARA approved document filing system.
- Assist Board members with producing draft presentations, setting up meetings, and taking meeting minutes.
- Assist with production and distribution of reports.
- Assist Board members with on-boarding and off-boarding in accordance with standard practices. Coordinate for public trust clearances, fingerprinting, and acquisition of electronic equipment.
- Assist with managing website, posting content and monitoring inbox.
- Coordinate with external agencies regarding on-going actions and to support Board activities.
Project Assistant Qualifications/Capabilities/Software Knowledge
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years’ experience working with federal budget and finance systems
- U.S. Citizenship
Technological Skills:
- MS Office products to include excel
- Google Suite
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with federal system of payments and budgeting
- Must have administrative background and the ability to work independently
- Experience with onboarding new employees
- Demonstrated written and editing skills
Environment and Physical Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-20 pounds. Requires arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to be in one position for long periods of screen use, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear both in person and over devices. The employee interacts in close spaces and frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients. Might be in situations which require conflict resolution. The position works in an office environment with artificial light and air.
