Aleut Federal is seeking a Contract Specialist II to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO
The Contract Specialist II provides contract administration support to the Contracts and Procurement Department regarding the successful fulfillment of company contract obligations. In this role you will primarily support one of our 4 business lines and also serve as backup for another. You will support negotiation of contract terms with clients, provide analysis on contract terms, stay current on legislation processes and regulations, assist with procurement proposals, and prepare communications for any contract amendments and/or clarifications. The Contract Specialist II must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, broad knowledge of legal terminologies, and government contract types. Highly-qualified remote candidates will be considered.
Essential Job Functions:
• Responsible for assisting with contracts administration relating to existing contracts, new business capture and proposal efforts.
• Administer contracts to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
• Monitor performance, negotiate terms and conditions, assist with closeouts, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Responsible for contract administration functions for prime and sub-tier contract awards in accordance with applicable commercial and government contract rules and regulations.
• Provide contract administration support for various government contracts including RFP analysis, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract/task order administration, and review and negotiation of non-disclosure and teaming agreements.
• Interface with internal and external customers, assist senior staff as needed.
• Administer contract change management and contract closeout activities.
• Data entry and maintenance of contract information in contract management database.
• Identify and modify flow-down clauses from prime contracts, as necessary.
• Ensure review, approval, and distribution of contract documents with appropriate management in accordance with corporate policy and procedure.
• Supports programs, finance, procurement, human resources, and business development departments that intertwine with contract administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 4-6 years related contracting experience, preferably in construction, remediation, science, technical, and/or information technology.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and creativity to recommend resolution for contract issues.
• Familiarity with various contract types (IDIQ, Cost Plus, Time & Material, FFP, Award Fee, etc.).
• Contract administration experience in support of federal government prime contracts preferred.
• Experience with administration and management of GSA schedules program, multi-award schedule (MAS) regulations, and Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) preferred.
• Willingness to obtain a certification through NCMA is preferred.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
