Job Description:
Position will be in direct support of DEL 5 at Vandenberg SFB, California. Candidate will support Test and Evaluation, Configuration Management, System Engineering, Scheduling, and on-going mission integration activities on behalf of the DEL 5 for various programs. Will participate in CSpOC/DEL 5 mission systems integration activities, handle test activities impacting the unit, assist in tracking status of approvals and coordination items, and provide assistance with scheduling up-coming and on-going mission integration activities. Will provide direction, recommendations and advice on significant requirements, approaches, and/or potential problem areas and map/define processes.
The ideal applicant has prior military background and/or experience working with the Space Delta 5 (DEL 5) (previously 614 AOC), Combine Space Operations Center (CSpOC), Combined Space Force Component Command CSFCC), Headquarters Space Operations Command (SpOC) or a similar military operations, maintenance, and acquisition mission.
Will be required to brief senior military leaders on a regular basis and interface with active duty military personnel, government civilians and other contractors on a daily basis.
Applicant may be required to travel in support of government requirements, meetings and training, and may be required to support short-notice adjustments to normal work hours.
Experience and Requirements:
- Prior experience working within classified environments is highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree plus five years’ experience in supporting defense operations and acquisition management required.
- Experience may be substituted for each year of education not completed.
- Strong organizational, planning, and technical skills plus experience supporting operations, configuration management, installation/sustainment oversight, process development and improvement, test and evaluation and/or systems engineering, and scheduling experience is highly desirable.
- Candidate must be capable of identifying problems, recommending solutions and be able to devise innovative approaches to solve problems.
- Establishes and utilizes appropriate management information tracking systems, to coordinate, review, control and report on test support and scheduling activities.
- Must be able to review and assess on-going activities to determine progress, problems and workloads and to adjust priorities and tasking as necessary to meet DEL 5 and CSpOC program requirements and objectives.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are mandatory along with interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
- Candidate must have a valid California driver’s license, an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and be able to retain this level of clearance.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
