What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gaming PC Technician - Level I position at Alexander PCs, LLC?
Alexander PCs is a System Integrator located in Cary, IL. We are partnered with NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, ASUS, and other brands. We are also one of only 6 Corsair iCUE Certified System Builders in North America. We build Custom and Gaming Computers for clients throughout the United States and Canada.
We are seeking to hire an entry level "PC Technician - Level I" to perform a variety of job functions in a fun and creative environment. But an actual fun and creative environment where we build amazing machines and have fun, not a soulless, sterile cubicle in a stuffy office.
The primary function of the PC Technician - Level I is the assembly, programming and setup, and packaging of Desktop Gaming PCs. The bulk of your time will initially be spent setting up, quality testing, and packaging Gaming PCs, with the objective of developing you into a higher level technician who also builds the PCs. You may also be required to help assist clients with technical issues from time to time.
This is a role for a person who pays attention to the details, and strives for constant improvement. We have incredibly high, uncompromising standards for build quality and aesthetics at our organization and we are very much a premium brand in our industry.

We care much less about your previous experience than we care about your attitude and the way you interact with people. We are a small company and everyone needs to be willing to help with a variety of things day to day. If you're a "that's not in my job description" person, move on and don't apply here.
We experienced 260% year-over-year growth in 2021 and more than 100% year-over-year to date in 2022. In 2023 we moved to a new shop approximately 3X larger than our previous location, and we plan to continue our progress in 2024 and beyond. We’re interested in delivering results to our clients and solving problems, not assigning blame for them. Mistakes will be made - we’re all just people. The important thing is correcting them and taking care of our clients!
If you can bring a positive attitude and a willingness to be helpful, we will provide any training and encouragement you need. There will be massive opportunity for future growth for this position, and we are willing to develop people who want to grow with us.
