Stepping in to help coordinate more complex maintenance work
Management of budgets and approval of expenses
Forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation of spare parts inventory
Hiring and management of subcontractors and other vendors for specialized maintenance work
Ensuring the availability of necessary tools and equipment
Identifying and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy that ensures efficient operations
Looking for new ways to improve productivity and cut costs
Developing company policies and standard operating procedures for all maintenance work
Ensuring that all maintenance processes are consistent with industry regulations and OSHA standards
Drafting maintenance reports that help measure and improve team performance
Creating preventive maintenance procedures and checklists
Managing the work order process effectively
Handling emergencies
Creating troubleshooting guidelines
Generally understanding how a maintenance strategy will impact maintenance operations and the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Select, develop, train, and supervise employees in the maintenance department
- Oversee timely repair and preventative maintenance schedules for equipment
- Plan and propose strategic capital expenditures and budgeting to senior leadership
- Collaborate with site-management and HR on building safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts.
- Maintain all inspection, audit, and maintenance records
- Set a consistent example for others in management effectiveness, leadership style, communication, and
integrity.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage others, develop and mentor managers, and provide effective
decision support through information
- Ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and energy projects
- Ability to develop and cost justify a capital budget, and the ability to achieve departmental efficiencies.
- Strong problem solving/analysis skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of facilities and equipment maintenance in an industrial setting
Required Education and Experience:
- 5 plus years of related management experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- CMMS experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Physical Demands:
Bend, sit, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, stand, walk, and turn/pivot intermittently up to ten hours per day, five days per week (extended hours may be required as necessary).

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
