What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Associate position at Alfond Youth & Community Center?
The Alfond Youth and Community Center is looking for a Food Service Associate to effectively participate by cooking, serving and cleaning in all activities associated with the Kitchen, Cafeteria at Camp Tracy in Oakland, ME. and vending operations.
A high school education or GED equivalence is preferred. 1 to 3 years of experience working in a food service industry, distributing and preparing food, is a must. Experience working around elementary school aged children and enjoying working in this environment is essential. Should have the personality and temperament that encourages confidence, trust, and respect from our members, staff, and the public within the mission of the Alfond Youth & Community Center. Must have the ability to relate and communicate well to members, parents, staff, and the public in general. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is desirable.
Candidates must be able to pass an extensive fingerprinting background screen through the State of Maine, Federal Government and Department of Health and Human Services.
