Alfresco Pasta has a job opening for a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for our New Fresh Pasta Manufacturing Plant in Bells, TN. Alfresco Pasta is a premium fresh pasta manufacturer with over 22 years in business in Nashville, and we are re-located to Bells, TN. We are looking for qualified, hardworking, dedicated employees to join our winning team.

Responsibilities for this position include maintaining all equipment in safe and efficient running order

• Operate machinery to assist in the production process
• Assemble materials and equipment as required
• Inspect the assigned work area and production area before starting first production of the day and at end of day after the last patch of the day.
• Inspect finished products for defects to ensure quality standards are met
• Assist in the loading of raw materials to the production lines
• Transport raw materials from one place to another
• Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure efficient production and deadlines are met
• Conduct inspections and quality control of products
• Keep production area and equipment clean within the sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in lifting, carrying, and moving heavy loads as required
• Cross training is provided in other areas such as the packaging dept. and kitchen production.

What we offer:

• Hourly compensation is from $15 to $16 per hour (based on experience).

Required:

• Prior experience in a production setting preferred but will train

• Familiar with production equipment and machinery but will receive on job training

• Sharp attention to detail in favor of identifying defects

• Self-driven and hard worker

• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• Flexible to work shifts, overtime as required

• Able to stand for long periods at a time

• Able to withstand cold temperatures in the production room and freezers

• Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs with assistants from coworkers, production manager, and/ or machinery

Job Type: Part time or Full-time

Pay: $15.00 -$16.00
