Nature and scope:
Working in conjunction with the Vice President of Operations (VPO) supporting the company in its efforts to achieve community, regional and company business goals in accordance with residents’ needs, government regulations, and Affinity Living Group policies and procedures. The Regional Vice President of Operations (RVPO’s) focus is providing hands-on support, guidance and direction on operations standards for cost control, quality and safety control while maintaining excellent service quality and high occupancy.
Minimum eligibility requirements:

The Regional Vice President of Operations (RVPO’s) focus is providing hands-on support, guidance and direction on operations standards for cost control, quality and safety control while maintaining excellent service quality and high occupancy.
Minimum eligibility requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Gerontology or related field preferred.
- Experience of 5-10 years or more as RVPO or ED or combination of both in a retirement, nursing home, or assisted living industry preferred. Multi-site experience preferred.
- Must be licensed in good standing if required by the State Licensing Authority.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, State hospitals and general public.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Practice and promote Affinity Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.
- Must be computer literate.
- Experience with financial reporting and managing multiple budgets.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Must meet all health requirements.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work closely with the VPO to identify company goals and objectives and hold community leadership teams responsible for the implementation and goal setting of strategic plan of the company.
- Strategize and plan for short- and long-term operations goals that support company culture and overall business strategy.
- Evaluate, train and advise community leadership teams on the impact of short-term and long-term planning, introduction of new programs and strategies and regulatory interaction.
- Monitor each community, communicate and interpret policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist, coach, and discipline staff as necessary.
- Build, develop and manage regional sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and marketing initiatives.
- Able to work full-time, with some weekend work.
- Availability by phone or pager 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Approximately 75-80% travel is required.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Is involved with resident, personnel, and visitors under all conditions and circumstances.
- Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, staff and visitors.
- Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel and other department supervisors and staff.
- Works beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
- Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
- Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., through the workday, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants.
- Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.
