What Success Means In This Position
The Site Services Specialist is responsible for scheduling and communication of transportation services of the Algiers Charter School Association high school(s) and the oversight of the vendors utilized to provide full transportation services and contract specific services. Secondarily to that the Site Services Specialist will coordinate all purchasing needs of the school sites, leased equipment and related vendors, student activity fund collections and purchases and other activities as guided by the Site Services Manager.
Position Description & Expectations
Assists with communications and coordinates schedules of bus drivers and transportation aides to transport students safely
Assists with monitoring the field activities of assigned bus drivers and transportation aides to ensure compliance with contractual and safety standards
Assists the Site Services manager with communication between the transportation contractor and the schools, students and parents
Maintains student order on the bus and handles student incidents as presented
Assists with daily transportation reports as necessary to ensure billing for Medicaid and overall service management
Helps coordinate all extra curricular, activity and athletic bussing needs of the K-8 schools
Collaborates with school based lunch staff vendor to ensure efficient food services program
Provides updates for school websites to communicate food service calendars, school activities and other items as needed by the school leader
Coordinates with the food services onsite services and the school.
Ensures the facility is maintained and that outside vendors are performing their contracted services.
Facilitates communication with various vendors including custodial, building inspectors, building maintenance and others as needed.
Communicates site-based facility needs including but not limited to infrastructure needs, facility repairs and maintenance through the company ticketing system
Ensures proper delivery and receipt of purchases by schools
Assists with student activity funds as needed
Coordinates with School Support Center finance staff on all compliance and procedure items
QUALIFICATIONS
HIgh School degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
2-5 years of school operations and or transportation management experience
Exceptional communication skills and customer service focus
Proficient in Microsoft and Google platforms, transportation routing systems and student information systems

Possess the ability to fulfill any and all office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer entry, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
