Job Profile:
A Chief Architect is responsible for being a subject matter expert and helping to set architectural direction, in lune with the company’s business strategy. This is a hands-on technical position where the individual participates with members of the team in architectural discussions and implementing architectural projects.
As a Chief Architect, you must be able to handle multiple projects, be innovative, and be able to communicate effectively across multiple departments in different degrees of technical detail. Mentoring engineers or architects and overseeing projects that are part of your expertise.

Have you ever built hybrid or cloud infrastructure for a Software as a Service company using infrastructure as code approaches ?
Have you architected a "multi-user" Enterprise SaaS application?
Have you worked with: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform?
Have you managed a team of Software Architects?
Primary responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and support a highly effective team of passionate engineers fostering a high-performance culture
- Enable a culture of creativity, collaboration, speed, innovation and excellence while continuously elevating the quality and caliber of our engineering organization Solve complex software engineering tasks
- Troubleshoot and solve code level problems quickly and efficiently Establish and follow coding standards and practices
- Collaborate with members of an architecture SCRUM team to ensure success (Product Owners, Engineers, QA, Designer) Participate in SCRUM related events such as Sprint Planning, Retrospectives and Backlog Grooming
- Communicate effectively with team members, internal and external customers
- Stay current with industry standard tools and technologies Perform risk analysis on business related software initiatives
- Participate in Quarterly Architecture Summits
- Take the lead on challenging software engineering projects
- Provide architectural expertise for the implementation of key initiatives
- Participate in the hiring process including attracting, screening, and closing high caliber candidates
- Participate in strategic planning meetings with product management, architecture and design Build cross-department relationships centered on executing company strategy
- Work with CTO, VP Product and Engineering leaders to plan and coordinate enterprise-wide initiatives
- Engage in architectural proof of concept projects at a micro-level of detail to keep current on technology
- Motivate and inspire developers and evangelize a set of ideals for the enterprise Foster repeatable and reusable architectural processes
- Review architectural aspects of initiative across the enterprise and products to aid in ensuring success of the design process
- Administer the architectural runway process to review changes to enterprise architecture in conjunction with the management
Minimum requirements:
- Your technical background is broad, spanning multiple areas among data products and visualization, data and behavioral analytics, advanced metrics, statistics, machine learning, causal methods, and data engineering and architecture.
- You likely have a BS/MS/PhD degree or similar qualification / studies in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, etc.
- Deep experience building and scaling systems and products.
- You have experience in AWS, private Cloud, Martech, customer data and personalization platform. Containerization, build once and deploy across multiple cloud platforms
- AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, Lambda or similar services
- Enterprise SaaS experience
- Organisational and Leadership skills, able work in a fast-paced startup environment
- 10 years of experience in software engineering, with broad exposure to frontend and backend systems
- 5 years people leadership experience leading large teams, with demonstrable ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing technical teams
