Job Description The Solution Architect (SA) role is a KEY pre-sales technical position in Alibaba Cloud’s international business division. Our seasoned solution architects offer comprehensive IT knowledge and industry insights when crafting solutions for customers and partners. Solution Architects are ultimately responsible for architecting cloud and data transformation solutions that enable customer and partner success. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Working closely with customers and partners to ensure successful solution delivery of Alibaba Cloud services and vertical data solutions, focusing on industries including Internet, manufacturing, digital marketing and media, retail, hospitality, etc. o As a thought leader, evangelizing and helping customers and partners understand the technical and business benefits of Alibaba Cloud services and vertical data solutions. o Understanding the unique requirements of customers and partners, and providing appropriate technical cloud solutions and architecture designs based on Alibaba Cloud services and vertical data solutions. o Have a breadth of industry expertise and challenge the status quo to bring innovation, ideation, and spark divergent thinking within accounts. o Clearly demonstrates the Delivery Resources and the Account team drives return on investment (ROI) for customers and partners whilst aligning to Alibaba's goals. o Engage with c-level executives to build solid biz cases for vertical based digital transformation o Providing assistance to customers and partners to migrate their existing IT systems onto Alibaba Cloud. o Responsible for demo development and testing Alibaba Cloud services and vertical data solutions when necessary.
Job Requirements o Years Experience: 7 primarily in a client-facing role, with strong technical background: large scale distributed architecture, cloud, big data, vertical based digital transformation, and AI/ML, etc. o Be fully mobile, often visiting our clients for meetings and workshops o Ability to quickly grasp customer/partner strategic business objectives to articulate an engagement plan that addresses these objectives. o Ability to impact and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to drive business results. o Strong technical background, working experience should involve technical consulting, development and deployment. o Experience of Cloud Native architecture: Container, Kubernetes, DevOps. o Proven consulting as well as technical background and in depth, hands on customer delivery experience with cloud computing. o Familiarity with any of major public cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). •Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. o Good communication skills, a good team player and has professional attitude to work. o Able to work under high pressure, a quick learner with a passion for cloud technology. Able to think strategically about businesses, products and technical challenges. o Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills. Able to create documentation that can express cloud architectures using text and diagrams. o Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, Mandarin Chinese is a plus. o Travel requirement: 20% - 40% travel
