We are seeking a genuinely friendly and experienced Maitre’d who is authentically warm, energetic, and is passionate about teamwork for our Front Desk team for Carmine’s. This role ensures our guests have the best possible experience from the moment they are greeted at the front desk. The ideal candidates will be warm, have excellent communication skills, be exceptionally organized, and thrive in a team-based environment.
Your Role with Us:
- Providing engaging and warm greetings to our guests as we welcome them to our restaurant family.
- Takes reservations, strategizes with the management team on coordinating seating and ensure smooth service, assigns tables, and seats every guest in a strategic manner while informing guests about our dining options and who we are.
- Manage our waitlist and maintain communication between everyone involved from management to the entire front desk team.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador, engaging the guest about both Carmine’s and Virgil’s locations and inviting them back again for Special Events and Catering experiences.
- Lead a team of Host/Hostess to ensure they are seating guests correctly.
- Answer phone and manage our Open Table reservation systems.
- Create strong guest relationships as you greet guests and help them create an incredible first experience at our restaurant.
- Thank our guest for dining with us creating that final last great impression!
- Ability to operate in all our front desk “roles” and assist in any capacity necessary at the front desk.
We are looking for Candidates:
- Who are professional, personable, organized with a sense of humor and a strong passion for hospitality!
- With experience as a Maitre’d or as a Lead Host/Hostess in a fast-paced high-volume restaurant environment.
- Who are friendly, have excellent communication skills, be exceptionally organized, thrive in a team-based environment.
- With experience operating OpenTable, RESY, or other reservation systems required.
- Who are able to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone, providing information and answering questions for callers and walk in guests.
- Who are fluent in English.
- With open flexibility to work various shifts.
