Shipping Supervisor

POSITION TITLE:  Shipping Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Distribution

REPORTS TO: VP of Distribution Logistics

LOCATION:  Secaucus, NJ

JOB TYPE: Full Time, on-site

POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping Supervisor will be working in the warehouse on-site 5 days a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Manages workflow through packing department

·         Works with and provides guidance to shipping office and warehouse management to process all outbound shipments, ensuring customer start and cancel dates are met

·         Has working knowledge of record keeping and inventory management, including comfortable working with the Company’s ERP system and various shipping software platforms

·         Manages the daily pick-up requests to carriers

·         Familiar with key customers’ routing guides (e.g. Sak’s, Neiman’s, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdale’s, etc.), including labeling requirements

·         Any other warehouse duries as requested by management

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Relevant warehouse experience

·         Ability to lift/move cartons up to 50 pounds

·         Capable of operating hand trucks (licensed forklift operator highly desirable)

·         Positive, can-do attitude

·         Works well in a team environment

·         Desire to learn and grow

·         Strong work ethic

·         Must be fluent (read, write, and speak) in English

BENEFITS:

·         $60,000 - $75,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NJ - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
