Position Summary:
The Remote Expert Opinion Support is responsible for receiving, organizing, uploading, and distributing paper medical records and imaging discs received for remote expert opinion as well as shipping hard copy content requested by remote expert opinion participants.
Essential Job Functions:
- Report to the Norwell, MA office to receive paper medical records and imaging discs sent by providers’ offices and participants for remote expert opinion, as needed
- Organize, scan, and upload medical records and imaging to appropriate internal platforms and databases
- Communicate the upload of medical records and imaging to Case Coordinators and Senior Case Coordinators
- Maintain organization of paper medical records and imaging discs and destroy according to HIPAA requirements
- Assist Case Coordinators and Senior Case Coordinators with outreach to providers and healthcare facilities as needed
- Report missing records to the Case Coordinator Managers
- Ship authorization forms and final reports to remote expert opinion participant as requested
- Generate return shipping labels to provide to participants for shipment of material for remote expert opinion
- Ship medical records and imaging discs to participants upon request of the Case Coordinator or Clinical Team
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within ConsumerMedical an Alight Company’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position
- Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by ConsumerMedical an Alight Company for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company
Preparation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Entry level position requires a high school diploma
- Must be organized, detail oriented, creative, and professional
- Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and knowledge of Adobe PDF software
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic, must enjoy working independently and in a team environment
- Must be comfortable with a fast paced, evolving operation
- Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
