Product Technical Manager
The Product Manager (PM) designs and produces new products to fill identified gaps in the market (i.e., new or enhanced features/functions/designs, new channels). The PM is in charge of a product's development from the earliest brainstorming stages all the way through production and deployment. In collaboration with Product Strategy, the PM’s job also includes ensuring that the product efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
The PM is responsible for both product planning and delivery. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Development Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product requirements from various channels and stakeholders, formalizing the detailed product roadmap, and working closely with Engineering to deliver winning products. It also includes partnering with Product Strategy, Service Delivery, Sales & Marketing.
The Product Manager is expected to:
- Define and prioritize product features and craft the detailed product roadmap based on inputs from Product Strategy, Sales & Marketing, Service Delivery and Engineering groups
- Deliver product/business requirements specifications with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with Engineering to deliver products as per the release plan
- Participate in and validate outcomes of development sprints with the Engineering team
- Brief internal stakeholders on progress, risks and opportunities
- Work with internal stakeholders (Product Strategy, Service Delivery, Engineering, Sales & Marketing) to translate the strategic roadmap in a period effective and agreed release plan
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships, licensing opportunities, and overall integration effort
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products
- Work with Service Delivery to ensure the proper training of Service Delivery resources as well as the overall deployment plan for any new releases
- Organize/perform product demos to various internal parties
- Support client-facing activities including consulting with clients, delivering client demos, contributing to Marketing and Sales activities, and other externally focused endeavours as needed
- Defining and acquiring necessary talent for a team of product management owners for the business domain (e.g. Health, Wealth, Customer care, Global Payroll, …)
Requirements:
- 10 years Technology-related experience -Health & Welfare Industry preferred
- Bachelors Degree or commiserate work experience
