POSITION TITLE: Lean Champion Leader
REPORTS TO: Continuous Improvement Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
Responsibilities:
Lead cultural changes and support the deployment of our Continuous Improvement Program, implementing and training employees on Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools following the methodology of the Toyota Production System. Empowering employees by deploying Alinabal’s TQM philosophies in cultural change to root the lean program throughout the Alinabal Group of Companies.
Lead and conduct Kaizen events independently and ensure success through your direct leadership, manufacturing expertise & knowledge, and project management.
Ensure that the correct allocation of resources to make the Continuous Improvement deployment a success and make problems immediately visible, allowing problem-solving to take place.
Self-Initiate and Evaluate key manufacturing processes (benchmarks/best practices) and develop plans to identify opportunities for improvement, such as set-up reductions.
Implementer of Daily Hr/Hr visual tracking display for designated work cells.
Implementer of a Takt Time Bar Chart and coordinates activities to meet Takt Time Demand rates.
Assist with the implementation of employee suggestions and Gemba Walk observations.
Exemplifying a safety-first mindset and ensuring that Alinabal’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards are applied across all Alinabal’s business units and that all locations are a model of a world-class healthy and safe working environment.
Highly Proficient in the analysis of all types of manufacturing data to derive results and the ability to train others to utilize such tools to obtain similar results.
Lead and conduct A3 projects on key issues/opportunities by self-identified and directed initiatives.
Implement Cell Design changes and shop floor enhancements toward the achievement of 1 piece flow.
Skills and Experience:
Practitioner of the Toyota Production System concepts & Lean Manufacturing tools with an emphasis on Set-up Reduction.
Great knowledge of problem-solving initiatives (e.g., root cause analysis) and growth tools.
Communication skills (Written, Oral, PowerPoint). Effective communication with all levels of Plant Operations & Management.
Interpersonal skills, team building, training, coaching, and motivation.
Six Sigma Green Belt (Preferred).
Work authorization (U.S. Citizen Required)
Highly proficient Project Management skills to manage and lead multiple projects at one time to ensure on-time delivery or corrective actions are successful.
Minimum 3-5 years of Continuous Improvement/Lean experience in manufacturing.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
Proficient in Micro Soft Office Suite.
Proficient in manufacturing ERPs (Syteline a Plus).
