We are currently hiring Substitute teachers, and Ongoing-Lead Teachers for our associated schools in the areas of Lynwood, South Gate, Downey and surrounding areas for the upcoming School Year 2023-2024.

We highly encourage college students (preferably majoring in Child Development) to apply but it is NOT REQUIRED.

Individuals with little to no experience are welcome to apply; However, experience in Child Care or a Preschool setting is a PLUS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support in the classroom/outdoor play to ensure a safe and educational environment.
• Assists the classroom in maintaining the hygiene and personal needs of the children.
• Assists with weekly planning and implementation of daily educational activities for children.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials.
• Assist in sanitizing and maintaining a clean environment.
• Makes observations (written and/or verbal notations) of the children.
• Supports the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child.
• Maintains good communication with parents and co-workers.
• Takes advantage of all educational opportunities for professional growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Must be flexible and able to work well with a diverse group of people

Qualifications:

• No experience required.
• Experience in Head Start, Montessori, or Child Care Center (Preferred).
• Minimum 12units in Child Development/Early Childhood or related field (Required).
• A.A. or B.A. in Child Development or Early Childhood (Required).
• Associate Teacher Permit from CTC is (Required).

Requirements:

• A 100% COMMUTE IS REQUIRED.
• Must have open availability (Monday to Friday FULL TIME).
• Part-time- must be available 3 FULL DAYS ***NO HALF DAYS.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
