What you'll do
The Total Rewards Compensation Manager is a senior-level role which will lead the design, implementation, and operation of global compensation programs within the Firm. This individual will continuously monitor market trends, design, and deliver base salary, annual incentive and long-term incentive pay programs that reinforce the Firm's global compensation philosophy.

The Total Rewards Compensation Manager can be in either Southfield, Michigan or New York, New York reporting to the Head of Total Rewards. Paid relocation is not available.
- Continuously assess the competitive position of the firm's compensation programs through market research, survey input and analysis and make recommendations on the Firm's compensation programs.
- Stay current with trends and innovations in compensation program design and other reward and recognition programs.
- Lead the annual salary and discretionary bonus planning process in partnership with Finance and People team.
- Prepare and deploy communications related to compensation programs including training to support awareness for employees and build compensation decision making skills for People team members and leaders.
- Stay abreast of global legislative and regulatory changes that impact compensation programs and ensures compliance with country, federal and state laws governing compensation practices.
- Responsible for technical solutions and procedures designed to administer compensation programs across the Firm.
- Manage compensation data analytics requests and acts as trusted advisor to the People Business Partners and Leaders
- Direct work and participates in performance feedback for more junior team member
- Manage special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned in a broad range of areas, as business needs arise.

What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree required; Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field of study preferred; Master's degree in HR or MBA highly preferred
- Eight to ten (8-10) years HR experience within the compensation arena; minimum of 2 years multi-national compensation experience; experience with a professional service firm highly preferred; compensation consulting experience is a plus; attainment of CCP or other HR professional designation is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of compensation theory, principles, design, practices and state and federal regulations to include but not limited to: Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
- Experience with HR systems including market pricing tools, preferably experience with Oracle.
- Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the bigger picture.
- Exceptional mathematical, analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills including expert proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English to format and present data, conclusions, and proposals with a high level of stakeholder management and customer focus
- Ability to deal with employees at all levels to handle confidential information and be sensitive to personal situations
- Ability to work in a team-focused, collaborative environment
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $140,000 - $200,000 with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
