Job Description:
The Adult Foster Care (AFC) Director is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary, operations and business development of the program.
This role will provide leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to all team members and is responsible for communication of all policies and procedures.
*Must have knowledge of, and previous experience in working with the AFC Program.
The primary purpose of this role is to bring further growth and awareness of our program to the community while overseeing and guiding daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for the Adult Foster Care (AFC) program.
- Direct and supervise all aspects of the AFC program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of AFC staff and contractors.
- Manage scheduling to optimize member contact and program coverage.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders including members, families, caregivers, and funding sources.
- Administer payroll for AFC caregivers and manage fiscal responsibilities including billing and budgeting.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support growth and development of program members through strategic initiatives and community outreach.
- Uphold health, safety, and OSHA standards for individuals and staff.
Qualifications:
- Must have direct experience with the AFC program in a community setting.
- Must have a strong book of contacts in MA, and experience in driving marketing efforts
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in relevant healthcare discipline preferred.
- Minimum five years of professional healthcare experience with elders or adults; two years in an administrative role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in staff supervision, development, and evaluation.
- Proficient in administrative functions including budget management and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel to multiple office locations within Massachusetts.
