Admissions Coordinator

Banyan is seeking motivated Admissions Coordinators to work in our Admissions office located in Pompano Beach, FL. Admissions Coordinators are responsible for responding to inquiries to those seeking treatment at a substance abuse or mental health treatment facility. The most qualified candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer skills, work well in a team atmosphere and have a desire to help others.

The ideal candidate(s) will be available to work nights and weekends.

Essential functions:

-Receive inbound calls as well as chat submissions and email inquiries.

-Complete a clinical pre-screening with potential patients to access their needs.

-Maintain conversation and practice active listening with caller while completing basic data entry.

-Provide compassionate, knowledgeable answers to those with questions about treatment and admissions process.

-Utilize software to verify insurance online and review private pay options.

-Able to maintain confidentiality with each potential patient.

-Able to establish and maintain successful working relationships.

-Able to maintain composure in a high-volume department and assist team members.

Skills:

-Competence working with multiple computer systems required.

-Proficient in Microsoft office applications - ie (Outlook email, Word, Excel) 

-Ability to relate and show compassion with patients and their loved ones seeking treatment.

-Ability to self-motivate as well as being an asset to the team.

-Ability to multiple tasks with attention to detail.

-Ability respect sensitive and confidential information.
