What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Administrator position at All In Solutions?
All In Solutions seeks a Database Administrator to join our growing team. The scope of this effort is to provide technical services required to sustain EDW applications in the areas of Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, and Transition Out Support. These areas involve enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support. The scope also includes enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics. The team will provide recommendations that are optimal and suitable with the consistent expertise and industry standards and progressive in nature keeping up with advancements in technology.
The team will also provide a migration and test plan along with implement the phased migration into a Cloud platform. This solution shall be hosted in the VAEC Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure environment and be fully functional on the date specified by COR. In the event that a VAEC cloud service provider (CSP) has not yet been selected by VA, The team will recommend a CSP for the solution. The team will not be responsible for providing or acquiring cloud capacity or server hosting infrastructure for this contract. VA will furnish VAEC capacity as GFE.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Monitor Unix, Oracle, OBIEE and Informatica performance.
- Monitor nightly Informatica processes.
- Perform daily backups and recovery strategy.
- Install and upgrade OBIEE and Informatica servers.
- Configure OBIEE security.
- Manage Oracle users/roles and object security.
- Collaborate with OBIEE/Informatica/Tableau developers to develop performance improvement strategy.
- Experience in managing object partitioning and parallel executions.
- Develop database compression methodologies.
- Work with Data Center for M8 SuperClusters QFSDP and Oracle upgrades.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Recovery Manager (RMAN)
· Skills and experience conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
· Ability to react to dynamic industry and rapid changes in information technology
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Experience supporting large enterprise IT environments
· Ability to work off-shift hours and conduct senior-level on-call duties when required
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $76,225.00 - $141,939.00 per year
