What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at All Points Transit?
All Points Transit is seeking our next Executive Director to lead the organization! The Executive Director is responsible for implementing the strategic plan and vision of the organization, as developed by the Board of Directors, while ensuring proper management of staff, fleet and fiscal operations. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Montrose, Colorado.
About All Points Transit: All Points Transit is a 501c3 non-profit organization providing a range of public transit services in communities throughout four counties on the Western Slope of Colorado. All Points Transit serves all of Montrose County and Delta County as well as portions of San Miguel County and Ouray County. The organization is funded through State and Federal Grants and other governmental funding sources, as well as contracts, philanthropic foundation grants and local fundraising.
All Points Transit (APT) has a strong history of serving older adults and persons with disabilities. All services are open to the general public. APT runs pre-scheduled, demand response Dial a Ride throughout the service area, as well as deviated fixed route services in the Montrose area. The organization will be piloting new Commuter Bus route services between the communities of Montrose and Ouray, as well as Montrose and Delta. There are plans to develop in-town service in the community of Delta, as well.
In addition, the Executive Director will be responsible for moving forward with plans for the Montrose Transit Center, an exciting project that will build a “forever home” for All Points Transit, while also serving as a transfer station and regional hub all transit services coming through Montrose. Phase 1 of this project is fully funded through State and Federal grants. A preferred location has been identified and it is anticipated that construction will begin in 2024 with the administrative center, fleet parking and transit station completed late 2025 or early 2026. Phase 2 of the project includes a Maintenance Facility (phase 2 is not funded at this time).
The starting salary for the Executive Director is $65,000-$75,000 per year, depending on qualifications. All Points Transit offers vacation time, personal time, paid holidays and sick leave. This position is eligible for health insurance coverage. Requirements for employment with All Points Transit include a clean MVR and background check, as well as pre-employment and random drug testing (including marijuana / THC), in line with FTA policies.
