All Weather Architectural Aluminum is a custom window and door manufacturer located in Vacaville, CA, that has been in business since 1969, and we have an immediate opening for a Materials Manager. The Materials Manager will be responsible for all material planning, purchasing, receiving, storage, and control of raw material, WIP, and finished goods. the individual will oversee the purchasing department as well as production control of the manufacturing facility. The manager is also responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of materials are available and properly controlled.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in a related field or equivalent
Experience:
- 4 plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Just In Time (J.I.T.) inventory management knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems
- Perpetual Inventory Systems implementation experience preferred
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with various computer software (MS Word & Excel, and Outlook)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leads planning, procurement, and material functions including shipping and receiving, stockroom, and inventory control.
- Develops and manages MRP and ERP systems and implementations.
- Coordinates resolution of material related issues with the appropriate departments and/or suppliers to ensure availability of required materials.
- Monitors and manages supplier performance
- Communicates performance issues and manages significant problem areas to ensure improvements.
- Supports group objectives for material cost reduction, supplier on time delivery, inventory reduction, supplier quality, and supplier lead times.
- Ensures inventory control techniques, procedures, and best practices are followed
- Coordinates with other functional groups as needed.
- Advises management on long and short-term supply chain strategies.
- Performs supervisory responsibilities including, but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing complaints or concerns; resolving problems.
- Directly supervises employees within the Purchasing/Receiving/Inventory Control departments.
- Executes other related duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a warehouse/production environment, and offsite. Some administrative tasks will require time spent in an office setting.
