Sanitation Lead will assist the Sanitation Supervisor to oversee the day to day Sanitation operations; this includes preparation of staff, review and knowledge of cleaning instructions, and task assignments. This position will be the primary point of contact for Key Staff, and Employees. The Sanitation lead will serve as representative of the Department when talking to Supervisors and other Allan Bros Management personnel. The position will focus on distribution of staff within Allan Bros facility. The scope of this position includes seeing the day to day evaluation of cleaning instructions, productivity, attendance, and policy enforcement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Communicate with Sanitation supervisor, and employees (email/written/verbal)
- Review and ensure cleaning instruction and tasks are accurate and continuously updated
- Understand and distribute work load between all Sanitation teams
- Constant review of cleaning tasks and future assignments
- Organize and execute small crew meetings
- Review and follow Sanitation cleaning intervals
- Evaluate key staff, and employees (temporary and full time)
- Review, approve, and update employee time sheets and adjust employee schedules
- Enforcement of company policies (dress code, food-safety, and attendance)
- KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE IN:
- Moderate computer and office skills – Required
- Fruit packing industry – Preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Preferred
- Conflict resolution – Preferred
ABILITY TO: The Sanitation Lead will be in constant communication with the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure information flow is properly executed. Daily work will involve interaction with: supervisors, other leads, key staff, and employees.
- Understand and utilize latest versions of Microsoft office
- Must be able to work in an office environment
This position will be required to have a flexible schedule and may be required to work extended hours and 7 days a week within season. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
