QC Lab Tech - Aggregates

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine testing of aggregate samples such as running gradations, washes and moistures to ensure compliance with specification of various projects and with federal, state and local regulations.
• Enter data into the aggregate quality reporting system and ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment to standards on regular intervals.
• Perform routine housekeeping of the lab and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Establish and maintain lines of communication with plant operations, agency representatives, and quality control supervision.
• Receives and analyzes product related technical data coming from external salespeople and technical representatives regarding production procedures.
• Work with sales team to address and resolve customer complaints.
• Preforms other job related duties as required or assigned.
• Travels between quarries and to jobsites as required.

Qualifications

Qualification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet physical requirements such as movement and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and basic knowledge of statistics.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Willingness to attend the PennDOT Certified Aggregate Technician program within the first year of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings.
