Responsibilities
● Create, facilitate, and lead fun and engaging child-centered activities using natural resources found on the farm
● Engage children in the gardens with planting, weeding, watering and harvesting while helping to foster an appreciation of vegetables, herbs and flowers
● Provide age appropriate support for campers to encourage cooperative play and work, the development of new friendships, and social/emotional growth during OSP
● Adhere to all required summer camp safety guidelines and procedures, including those specific to outdoor and farm environments. Field based orientation and first aid certification will be offered prior to the start of camp.
● Ensure safety of all campers, including following all health/medical information provided by families (e.g. allergies), monitoring camper self-care (hydration, sunscreen, bug repellent, etc), and reporting medical/social/emotional concerns to program administrators
● Communicate with parents as needed at drop-off and pick-up regarding questions related to campers daily experiences
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
