Roofing Estimator

Allcon Roofing is a leading company in the roofing industry, committed to delivering high-quality roofing solutions to our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in assessing project requirements, estimating costs, and preparing bids for roofing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of roofing projects by examining project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents.
• Utilize industry-standard estimation techniques to calculate material, labor, equipment, and other costs, and interpret architectural plans for accurate material takeoffs.
• Prepare detailed and accurate proposals and bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements, budget constraints, and company pricing strategies.
• Present cost breakdowns, project timelines, and other relevant information to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the estimation process, addressing inquiries, clarifying proposal details, and negotiating terms and conditions.
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with roofing projects and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while maintaining project profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and correspondence with clients, vendors, and subcontractors via Buildertrend.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to roofing materials, construction methods, and estimation techniques.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating processes and enhance the quality and accuracy of project proposals.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in roofing estimation or a related field, with a strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software, spreadsheet applications, and other relevant tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and calculations accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating project costs and preparing proposals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Certification or licensure in estimating or a related field may be advantageous.
  
  

Working Hours

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Hours may change based on business needs.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to visit job sites which may include exposure to outdoor weather conditions and uneven terrain.
• Must have the physical capability to conduct on-site inspections which may involve climbing ladders and accessing rooftops.
