Night Shift 7pm - 7 am - varied days - This opportunity will be open to someone fully trained in CT or a Radiological Technologist seeking training in CT (Training opportunities available to obtain CT modality, if needed).
Alleghany Health is seeking a full time team member to join our team in Sparta, NC. The position is night time hours - no supervisory responsiblities - no travel - Pay evaluated with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Formal Training: Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiology Technology Program. Passing registry exam of American Registry of Radiological Technologist.
Licensure/Certification:
- Yearly re-certification by AART required.
- RT (R)
- RT (CT) is required for the position however, training is available to obtain this modality post hire.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the radiology manager and as indicated by the radiologist, performs radiographic and Computed Tomograpgy procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury.

- Produce high quality, diagnostic images in both x-ray and CT
- Use ALARA
- Advocate for radiation safety
- Effectively communicate with radiologists, and other physicians
- Adequately use PACS, and other accesorie devices
- Works diligently to meet every customer’s needs.
- Fully engaged, fully aware and available to help others while on duty
- Accomplishes tasks with the minimum expenditure of time, materials and money with service as the guiding principle.
- Works productively while on the clock and offers to help others when work is completed.

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates an ability to position properly, properly shield patients, show proper use of all equipment and accessories, calculate and implement proper techniques, Give patients well understood instructions, understand and practice radiation safety for both patients and self, demonstrates excellent working knowledge of performing radiography exams on all age and health types. Demonstrates good working knowledge of all policies and procedures as related to CT and hospital wide, Understands and practices aseptic technique Demonstrates skills appropriate to the performance of venipuncture, demonstrates good working knowledge of universal precautions and practices the same.
