What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Packer position at Allegiance Staffing?
As a Packer, you will be responsible for inspecting the finished product before being bagged and placing the bagged product in boxes, cases, and displays. The Packer will assist in ensuring the plant environment meets food safety and cleanliness objectives and operates according to the established safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Packs bags of chips into cartons.
- Assembles cartons apply stickers, and packs cases according to case specifications while verifying the package quality of the finished product.
- Performs visual inspections of chips, quality of chips, and chip packages and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor/lead of any problems.
- Covers “pick out” lines and recognizes bad products.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly sanitation tasks.
- Maintain GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), and safety guidelines.
- Maintaining appropriate housekeeping standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requires basic reading and math skills.
Requires knowledge of product quality and basic operations acquired through training.
Ability to communicate production issues to fellow co-workers and supervisors.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to perform constant and repetitive motion in a fast-paced environment.
1st Shift 7 am-3 pm
