Summer Intern – Design Research-Carmel, IN (Hybrid)
(Candidate will require to be in the Carmel, IN Office 1 day a week)
The Allegion Digital Product Design Team is seeking an Intern Design Researcher for Summer 2025 to collaborate with our software product teams and help achieve our mission of transforming users into fans by studying our users’ needs.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a qualitative research background and an understanding of various quantitative research methods. Additionally, you need to be a strong advocate for the UX Research process within Allegion and across our digital product portfolios.

What You Will Do
- Conduct end-to-end research projects: creating a plan, recruiting users, conducting the method, analyzing the data, and creating results presentations with actionable insights.
- Serve as a usability expert for designers, products, and business stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionality across various teams to advocate for research.
- Work closely with the Digital Product Design team to come up with solutions that will solve the various pinpoints you uncover.
- You are pursuing a degree in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Social Science, or a related discipline.
- You have experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, in-depth interviews, heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis, surveys, card sorting, information architecture, task analysis, contextual inquiry, etc.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas visually, verbally, and in writing.
- You reside preferably in the Indianapolis, IN area for access to the Carmel, IN Office.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
