Are you passionate about flavor formulation and production? Allen Flavors, Inc. is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our Liquid Blending team as Junior Blenders and Blenders. As a vital part of our organization, you will contribute to the manufacturing of beverage formulations and play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and process efficiency.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Execute Batch Records and Procedures:
    Follow batch records and procedures meticulously to maintain consistency and quality in production.
  • Ensure Product and Process Effectiveness: Maintain a high standard of product purity and effectiveness throughout the blending process.
  • Weigh Components for Batches: Accurately measure and weigh components used in batches to achieve precise formulations.
  • Document Pre-Weighs: Record pre-weighs accurately to maintain thorough documentation of ingredients used.
  • Prepare Pre-Blends: Create pre-blends for larger batches, ensuring proper mixing and ingredient distribution.
  • Complete Scale Checks and Calibrations: Perform daily scale checks and calibrations to ensure accurate measurements and equipment functionality.
  • Monitor Inventory: Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain Records and SOPs: Maintain detailed records manually and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Communicate Across Shifts: Effectively communicate and document the status of processes in multi-task, multi-shift operations.
  • Utilize RF Scanners and Barcode Printers: Familiarize yourself with and proficiently use RF scanners and barcode printers as part of daily operations.
  • Implement Certified Programs: Understand and implement various company-certified programs such as HACCP, NSF, SQF, Food Defense, Food Safety, and Food Quality programs as required.
  • Develop Processing Knowledge: Gain familiarity with processing procedures related to labels and packaging of various sizes.
  • Product Identification: Identify and distinguish between different products being manufactured accurately.
  • Follow Batch Making Sequence: Understand and adhere to the appropriate sequence of batch making to ensure product integrity.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Be flexible and willing to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support team objectives.


  • Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a flavor or industry related manufacturing or production is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent numerical skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions required.
  • Knowledge of weights and measures and the ability to compare them required.
  • Knowledge of finished blends and raw blends preferred.
  • Some mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and roll a 300 lb. drum required.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task required.
  • Demonstrated ability and drive to make process improvement/change required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work-related duties in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
