As the Staff Software Engineer, you will report to the Director of Engineering and continuously collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to solve the most critical technical problems.
Champion code quality, reusability, scalability security, and strategic software architecture decisions
Utilize proven design patterns and your experience building large-scale public-facing software through code reviews and mentorship.
Collaborate with software architects, product managers, and project managers to take small ideas or concepts and turn them into high-fidelity technical game plans to achieve platform, product, and business goals.

At least 10 years as a Software Engineer and 6 years experience as a technical lead and/or hands-on architect
Adept at drafting, validating, and implementing software systems architecture using modern development and deployment technologies and can speak thoroughly to their tradeoffs
Strong familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Strong experience using NodeJS and JavaScript (TypeScript) using Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, SQS/SNS), Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes on AWS
Proficient with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB and understand when to use relational and non-relational databases.
A proponent of code testing (TDD, unit, integration, system, load, and functional tests)
Experience working with DevOps Engineers using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD Pipelines.
