Job Description: The Parts Associate is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. The position reports to the Parts Manager. Other requirements of the job include in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials.
- Assist customers over the phone, providing price quotes and other information.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock.
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials.
- Notifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received.
- Assist service technicians with parts as needed.
- Follows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
Experience and Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge or experience with agriculture equipment
- Experience with computerized inventory systems
- Customer service experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
