Commercial Banker

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
The commercial banker manages existing relationships and develops new commercial client relationships.  They process, analyze, prepare, and recommend and approve commercial loans. They provide exceptional client service while collaborating with other internal partners.  Has demonstrated proficiency in all of the essential functions of the commercial banker, and has developed a midsize portfolio in size, complexity, and quality.     

Essential Functions

• Manages existing client relationships, including servicing loans and deposit products
• Cross-sell bank products and services
• Developing new client relationships through prospecting (including outside sales calls), networking, partnering with referral partners, and maintaining a strong presence in the community
• Determine creditworthiness by obtaining and analyzing financial reports
• Prepare, recommend, and present loans for approval
• Partner with the loan operations specialist to process and service new and existing loans
• Prepare and update reports
• Monitor delinquencies and perform collection actions as necessary
• Approve or deny loans within loan authority

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position travels by vehicle to businesses in the Alliance Bank footprint.

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The employee must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full time status.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Related experience preferred
