Clean Energy Analyst

The Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY), a 501c3 organization, seeks a full-time Clean Energy Analyst in our Albany, NY office. The position requires 1-3 years of work experience in the energy, environmental, or public policy field or a graduate degree in a relevant field, and ideally both. The Clean Energy Analyst will assist ACE NY’s staff in our clean energy advocacy work, with a focus on tracking implementation of New York’s climate policies (as required in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act); working on transportation electrification policies; and assisting with the planning and execution of various events on clean energy topics for our member companies and organizations. In addition to strong organizational, writing, and communication skills, a strong candidate will also have relevant experience, a demonstrated interest in public policy and/or sustainable energy issues, and the ability to work independently.

Our work focuses on building market opportunities for renewable energy and energy efficiency businesses through policy advocacy at State agencies and the Legislature. Our member companies are active in the development of land-based and offshore wind power facilities, solar power projects, hydroelectric power, energy efficiency, energy transmission, energy storage, and electric vehicle and vehicle charging.
