What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant *Hybrid position at Alliance Health System?
Alliance Health System is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to maintain financial records and statements as well as monitor all financial data. This autonomous role will be expected to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. The role will ensure all accounting transactions comply with the law and support Alliance Health System's investments. To thrive in this role, the right candidate will be expected to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
- Budgeting
- Manage tax invoices and payments
- Conduct cost and revenue analyses
- Collect data, maintain records, and create reports and forecast statements
- Manage projects and ensure timelines and budgets are being adhered to
- Be able to assess and address risk
Qualifications:
- CPA or actively engaging in the testing process with a successful completion of at least 2 exams has in the testing process
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, or similar role
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (or related field)
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial software
- Knowledge of financial accounting regulations
- Ability to work in a team environment, but able to manage projects with minimal guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
