Great opportunity!!
This case is a young toddler. He lives with his loving family just east of Puyallup. His grown-ups are very active in his care, with great support from his medical staff. He is trach and vent dependent and able to sit without support, but at this point does not stand. GJ tube for feeding. He is alert and growing! He is very interactive and loves people. He likes to rock back and forth and cast mischievous grins in the direction of his nurses. He is so adorable that his hospital nurse kind of wants to come care for him herself!
As a Community Health Care company, Alliance Nursing works with area hospitals to bring home pediatric patients so they can be with their families, in their own home, with comfortable and familiar surroundings.
Working a Pediatric Home Health case, you will work an entire shift with one client in their private home. Private duty nursing is a well-rounded career that combines intensive, skilled nursing with an opportunity to provide one-on-one care in a stable work environment, often in your own neighborhood.
You will gain experience and receive in-depth training for the home, client, and their specific care. Please don't worry if you are new to trach or vent care. We train from the ground up!!
What is open on this case:
Days: Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts
Nights: Friday and Saturday, 8 hour shifts
You will get classroom and field training as well as hands-on experience with some of the following skills:
- Mechanical ventilation management
- Administration of complex respiratory support including tracheostomy care, suctioning and oxygen support
- Administration of nutrition and medication via a variety of feeding tubes such as G-Tubes, J-Tubes, NG-Tubes.
- Psychosocial and family support
