Our client is actively seeking a talented Project Manager II – Nuclear in Huntersville, NC. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility for extension or to go permanent with our client.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position is required to manage multiple capital projects.
- This position will receive work assignments from the Manager of Project Management.
- In the Project Management Organization, the individual will be expected to work both innage and outage work scopes.
- The Project Manager II may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e., individual contributors up to executive management).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- The candidate must have a minimum of 9 years of project management experience.
- The individual must be proficient in project management principles.
- The individual will have the lead on specific projects requiring interface with Engineering, other Project Managers, Project Controls, Implementation, Contract Management and plant personnel.
- The individual needs to exhibit excellent communication skills when working when working with multiple teams.
- The individual must have a proven record or resolving issues with their projects.
- The individual must have experience with working in a refueling outage to support their projects and communicate any concerns associated with the outage with the plant personnel and other groups represented in the Outage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters - business (MBA), project management, or equivalent.
- Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License.
- Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
- Experience in utility industry.
- Knowledge in construction management.
