What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monitoring Technician I position at Alliance?
Responsibilities for the Entry Level Field Technician positions:
- The Monitoring Technician (MT) is primarily responsible for:
- Daily Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR)
- Component monitoring
- Inventory maintenance
- Emission reduction
- Repair activities at customer work sites required to comply with Federal, State and/or local fugitive air emission regulations.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting the TVA
- Calibration of TVA (entering data into handheld & in calibration book)
- Performing drift assessments (entering data into calibration book)
- Precision calibrations (performing & documenting proper paperwork)
- Documenting changes (size, type, location, sequence changes)
- Reporting Audio Visual Olfactory (AVO), Note Plug (NP), & Open-Ended Line (OEL) to Site Supervisor (SS) and Operations
- Noting Missing Tags (MT) on handheld device and/or reporting large number of Missing Tags (MT) to Site Supervisor (SS)
- Noting Drill &Taps in handheld device
- Reporting new or removed components to Site Supervisor (SS)
- Completing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Completing daily paperwork (job summary, change forms, retire forms, walk down forms, leak sheets, blue tags, etc.,)
Requirements for the Entry Level Field Technician positions:
- Physical Requirements – Below is the list of the minimum physical requirements for all field technicians working for Alliance Emissions Monitoring throughout the refining/petrochemical industry.
- Stand/walk on feet for 10 hours per day on uneven ground (concrete, rock, grass, mud/dirt, etc.)
- Carry 15-20 lbs. of equipment in backpack
- Walk, turn, bend, reach & pull body weight plus backpack weight throughout day
- Carry additional equipment throughout facilities, up to 100 lbs. (ladders, water coolers, additional monitoring equipment, etc.)
- Climb stairs & ladders throughout day, up to 300’ throughout day
- Work in all variations of weather (extreme heat, cold, windy, etc.)
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
