Futurity First advisors enjoy the flexibility of being independent agents as well as the back-office support of a career agency.   POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Our Operations Business Specialist will be responsible for implementing best-practices, and process standardization and improvements across the organization's branch offices, and handling various high-level operational and administrative functions necessary for the effective operation of a branch office. This position is the primary point of contact for clients and business partners for the branch office, as well as the lead branch office contact for all Operations, Compliance, and Human Resources functions.    Full-time, benefits-eligible Onsite at our office at 101 Centerpoint Drive, Middletown, CT 06457  Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Hybrid schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-office. Tuesday and Friday are remote.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    Operations: Oversee insurance and annuity new business processing; Collaborate with all business areas and all branch offices to ensure processes are being improved and standardized with good execution; Use data to analyze operations and administration efficiency and make recommendations on updates and changes; Support and optimize processes and workflows across the branch offices to promote effective operations; Assisting with creating and maintaining documented standardized operating procedures.   Administration:  Support the Sales and National Sales Manager in the agent recruiting process, including the effective use of systems to attract and engage potential recruits; Ensure all appropriate appointment paperwork is completed in good order and submitted to Contracting; Manage the tracking of all agents recruiting activity from initial contact through the onboarding process; Schedule interview appointments and monitor recruits’ participation in preparatory on-line courses; Manage all new advisor documents as well as licensing and carrier specific appointment paperwork; Notify Onboarding Specialist, via the Advisor Information Management (AIM) form, in a timely manner of all contract status related changes involving advisors/affiliates, including branch hierarchy reporting relationships, contract terminations, etc.; Train agents on New Business procedures and processes; Communicate with HR as required to seek advice, support and coaching.   On-Boarding:  Verify access and become skilled on all on-line system business tools; Become familiar with all contracted vendor services; Obtain home office approval prior to retaining services of a non-approved service provider (purchases of goods or services); Monitor office expense activity against branch budget; Oversee transition between temp and perm branch locations; Maintain current inventory of all carrier and company branded collateral needed by the advisors.   Compliance:  Deliver compliance orientation training and support branch office compliance audits and/or reviews; As appropriate, conduct preliminary review of branch office/advisor advertisements and promotional literature; Maintain files and records that may contain confidential information; Ensure maintenance and accuracy of compliance records; Support advisor recruiting, development, training, supervising and performance-coaching; Management and oversight of all day-to-day branch administrative operations.      QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:   Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Four (4) or more years of insurance experience in a sales or recruiting environment required   PERKS AND BENEFITS:   Health Insurance* Dental and vision insurance* 401(k) with company match* Paid time off Stable, friendly, and professional environment that does not micromanage your work but rather rewards innovation *Available the first of the month following date of hire Equal Opportunity Employer; SMS participates in the E-Verify system     #LI-DR2
