Job brief:
Allied is looking for a competent personal care assistant to support physically or mentally challenged customers in their everyday lives. The fulfillment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job.
If you're a compassionate, positive person who isn't afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick is a plus. This position provides opportunities for a variety of shifts. Companionship services are those that stimulate, encourage, and assist an individual.
Home Helper services involve housekeeping, errands, or transportation.
Personal Care services are personal in nature and often include assistance with activities of daily living.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure clients receive their medication on time.
Support clients who can't move on their own.
Help clients dress, bathe, toileting, incontinence.
Assist clients with physical therapy exercises.
Cook meals according to the customer's restrictions and assist client With eating, Help customers with their shopping.
- Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
- Provide emotional support. (Providing companionship and conversation) Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events. ACt quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life.
- Performing other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Reporting hours according to office policy.
Reporting any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions. e Regularly communicating with supervisor and office staff.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds.
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach,
Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew, and cleaning solutions.
Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect. Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
Ability to drive or take public transportation to client locations.
This position may require you to run errands and provide incidental transportation for a client using your vehicle or a client's vehicle.
