Middlesex Monmouth Gastroenterology, a division of Allied Digestive Health, is a fast paced, rapidly expanding multi-physician medical practice in Monmouth County. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work full time in our Freehold Office. The Nurse Practitioner must have a current NJ Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license, and current DEA and NJ CDS certificates. Must also have a provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Previous experience in Primary Carte, Hospitalist, or Gastroenterology a plus!
Some key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Independently treating patients in the office.
-Obtaining full and accurate patient histories while meeting with patient.
-Performing appropriate patient physical exam and identify any problems.
-Records all information discovered to interpret and present to supervising physician.
-Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, such as lab work and radiology.
-Develops treatment plans, provides medications, assists physicians.
-Assists staff with emergency calls when there are no physicians in the office.
The successful candidate should be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, have current NJ licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), and have current DEA and CDS certificates. They should have knowledge of electronic medical records, MS Office, as well as pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterological patients. The successful candidate will be comfortable multi-tasking and performing duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner. They will have exemplary patient service skills and display courteousness and respect, with a strong ability to remain cordial throughout the work day as well as to maintain patience under occasional stressful situations.
