Shipping & Recieving
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Obtaining pertinent information about the location, status, and expected progression time for material, parts, and tooling as they move through the manufacturing process.
Effectively documenting the status of where our customers parts are in the process, any “road-blocks” that are preventing movement, and who is delegated to resolving the “road-blocks.”
Investigating problems that are preventing order fulfillment. (IE: Scrap, Tooling Issues, Machine Problems, Programming Issues, Engineering Issues, lost parts, ETC)
Communicating the various issues that are preventing part movement to the appropriate department to keep the team focused on the problems that need to be resolved to meet our commitments to our customers.
Marking high priority parts to give better visibility as they move through the manufacturing process.
Moving high priority parts from work center to work center to help increase throughput and direct labor machine time.
Operating a forklift for moving parts or tooling.
Promptly responding to E-mails and phone communications.
Doing “leg work” to track down individuals who may not be able to respond to emails or calls due to their work at hand.
Locating missing parts
Locating missing tools
Locating or reprinting paperwork
Utilizing shop software to move parts in the system to their appropriate work-center
Host or attend meetings and effectively communicate the research done.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
At least X years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift objects up to 50 LBS
Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
Forklift license or willingness to obtain
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to quickly learn various shop software systems
Organization skills
$23/hr
