Job Description

Allied Universal® Event Services, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a regional manager.

SUMMARY: The regional manager is responsible for the mentorship, oversight, compliance, and general positive direction of all pertinent branches and accounts within the designated region. The role of the regional manager is to ensure operational, budgetary, and client needs are satisfactorily rendered and consistent across all designated branches and accounts. To this end, a regional manager will be tasked with facilitating and fostering positive long-lasting relationships with current and future clients, responding and reacting to their needs, concerns, and expectations. The regional manager is thus tasked with facilitating this client feedback to the designated branch/account managers to incorporate and facilitate necessary structural and operational changes to increase client retention and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Attends client meetings, security meetings, and corporate meetings pertinent to the operational and fiscal success of the region.
  • Conducts routine compliance assessments of all designated branches and accounts, including branch/account management, administration, and supervision as well as client satisfaction.
  • Conducts regular operational meetings with designated branch and account managers and associated pertinent staff.
  • Ensures AUES policies and procedures are being properly disseminated and followed at all pertinent levels. Coordinates and aligns AUS existing policy into the unique event-based industry standards of which AUES is engaged within.
  • Act as an ambassador and liaison between AUES and current and future clients
  • Maintain constant communication with President, Senior Vice President, and Senior vice President of Operations regarding client issues or concerns, leadership performance issues, client complaints, budgetary/fiscal issues, or other important facts related to any of the branches and/or accounts in the specified region.
  • Identifies, instructs, and mentors potential candidates for managerial and supervisory roles-both in the field and in the office.
  • Assists with the ongoing development and modification of a detailed Operations Guide in conjunction with the corporate Training and Development team.
  • Ensures scheduling practices and procedures are being adhered to in order to ensure client orders are sufficiently staffed in a timely fashion.
  • Works with the Recruiting and Onboarding team to ensure hiring of qualified, competent, and professional staff at all designated branches/accounts.
  • Fosters positive relationships with labor partners with the end goal of developing and maintaining a reliable network of skilled and trained labor resources in the region.
  • Audits all designated branches/accounts to ensure budgetary and fiscal goals are met and exceeded.
  • Establishes a positive culture of goal-oriented teams.

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required.
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and grow existing and future client relations.
  • Must have a strong understanding of financial and budgetary language, processes, and goals.
  • Ability to mentor qualified and competent candidates to fulfill the roles of Branch Manager, Account Manager, Field Manager, Lead Supervisor, and Field Supervisor.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and suddenly to all pertinent areas within the designated region.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to climb stairs on an intermittent basis at client sites.
  • The employee may be subject to adverse conditions such as rain, cold or heat for prolonged periods of time.
  • The employee may be subject to work in a noisy environment that could exceed normal noise levels.
  • The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple employees with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels.
  • Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Law enforcement and/or military experience
  • Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of security industry
